I Knew Dan (as he was known in Germany) for a number of years he was in my armoured section of the fld amb. we had some great times together and some wonderful memories, Exercise Med Man in Canada being amongst them. Each year I place a cross on the memorial in Bognor Regis to remember him by and have a moment to remember not just Dan but all of the guys I have had the pleasure to know over the years who are not with us now. As long as I have the means and the health to remember Dan wherever in the world that may be I will always place my little wooden cross and have a pause and a small lump in my throat. RIP Mate.
