Ranger Stuart Shilliday

of the 1 Royal Irish

Ranger Stuart Shilliday, aged 27 from Killymerron Park, Dungannon, served with the Royal Irish Rangers.  He was described as a highly valued member of the Heavy Machine Gun Platoon and also the Bugles, Pipes and Drums.

Stuart collapsed after a 6 mile run,  and died of a heat related illness, his sister Alison said the training exercise had taken place at midday on a hot summers day.

He leaves behind a loving family.
