A CHRISMATIC soldier who loved his family and the Army has died in a tragic trianing accident in the USA. Sergent Andrew (JIGGY) Jowers of the 4th Regiment Royal Artillery (TACP), was killed in a road traffic accident while training in Arizona in the United States on the 5th December 2006. JIGGY leaves behind a wife carol and three sons Ross-10years, Connor-8 years, Josh 5 years. The proud parents of JIGGY, Frank and Maureen Jowers of Ormesby were left deveastated by the loss of there first son. SGT Andrew (JIGGY) Jowers joined the army in 1986 and served in Bosnia,Poland,Cyprus,Northan Ireland,Germany as well as two tours in Iraq. In his time in 4th Regiment JIGGY served in 88 BTY, 97 BTY, And the 4th ARMD BDE TACP of wich he was second in command. An Army spokesman said SGT JOWERS was a highly skilled, immensley competent professional and popular solider. Tough, loyal,and charismatic, he was resoureful and dedicatedto his job. As a senior non-commissioned officerhe was always fair and personable when dealing his menand knew how to draw the very best out of his solidersunder him. The tragic death of SGT JOWERS has left an immense feeling of loss among his family, friends and colleagues in the Regiment. SGT JOWERS was a huge credit to his family, to the Royal Artillery and the wider army. He will be sorley missed, The thoughts and prayers of everyone in 4th Regiment are with his wife and three children, and his family. JIGGY was loyal BORO fan and loved to play football for the Regiment. My Big Brother JIGGY i will always think of you ! I will always ask your advice ! I will always talk to you ! Our years togetherwill always stay, my call for you be to look above because i know you are always there! Untill we meet again love always your brother lee x x x. JIGGY will be missed forever by his brother Lee, sister inlaw Donna and there two sons Ethan and Adam.
